Orgie fanzine 1981 record reviews
Yesterday, this 1981 page from Zeist, the Netherlands punk fanzine Orgie #7, p. 11 was rediscovered (thanks, Michael)!
It has record reviews of Utrecht all-girl band The Nixe. Of Utrecht by then all-boy band Rakketax. Of Amsterdam band The Studs. Of the Miranda’s from Breda.
And of the Cheap ‘n’ Nasty Covergirl EP.
That review says (translated):
Covergirl EP on Smashstick Plastic Smapla001. This again is such a record that really upsets me, a terribly good single. I really know very little about this band, only that they are from Leiden. And that singer/saxophone player Herman used to make the fanzine Pin. There are four songs on this EP which all are really good. I personally think that Unknown and I’m a photo model are a little better than the rest. In these songs, the vocals by Terry and Herman alternate, and that sounds upsettingly well. This band clearly has a style very much all of their own and it sounds really professional.
